Alongside some beautiful felt figures of the titular characters made by his partner Louise, Jonny spent the morning captivating the children by doing live drawings of the charming Bear and Bird, which he then signed for his little fans to take home! He also gave out Bear and Bird activity sheets for the children to colour in, and signed copies of the book for customers to purchase.
Jonny Lambert is an incredibly successful author and illustrator, who has worked on over 60 books in his career, including the much-loved Wide-Mouthed Frog, The Only Lonely Panda, and Where In The Wild. His unique way of drawing and collage work gives him an instantly recognised illustration style, which creates beautiful characters and spreads that bring a little bit of magic to every story.
Jonny finished the morning with a read-along story time session of Bear and Bird Lend a Helping Hand, and his classic book Animal 123 (also published by DK Books).
