Vicky Lommatzsch

At the age of 5, Vicky watched her older brother draw Jolly Jumper. She was so fascinated by seeing a character come to life on paper, she realised there was a magical world other than the one she lived in, where anything is possible. She has been drawing and playing in that parallel universe ever since.

In 2006 she got her Master degree in Linguistics followed by 3 years of illustration at the Ghent Academy of Arts. The perfect combo for becoming an author and an illustrator. Unfortunately however, Vicky got swallowed by a horrible monster called Routine, that was hiding in the business world. It wasn’t until after her mom died, she felt she had to focus on what she loves doing the most, life’s just too short. So she gathered all her courage and started tickling Routine so much until the monster spit her out and she was free again. Now Vicky tries to show the magic she saw as a child to others. But of course, one needs to believe it to see it.
