Sophia O'Connor
Sophia is an illustrator based in South East Cornwall. She studied Illustration at Kingston University, graduating in 2012 and has since continued to bring stories to life, through picture book illustration.

Sophia’s illustrations begin on paper using inks, watercolour and other mixed media.
She explores mark making using bamboo, silicone, and mixed brushes to create expressive lines and textures. The hand drawn artwork is digitised, and the final illustrations are composed in photoshop, where layers of artwork and colour and brought together.
When she’s not in her studio, Sophia can often be found exploring Cornwall’s wild coastal paths and moorland.
