Sonia Baretti
I’m Sonia, a professional children’s illustrator from Italy.
I studied at the International School of Comics specialising in Illustration: here I refined classical painting techniques but I’m self-taught in the digital technique, which I still prefer and use for my work.
I love flat and bright colors and soft shapes, which I create with extreme precision- so much so that my art is thought of as vectorial, but it is not! I love preschool books, but I'm also extremely versatile and open to the different requests of customers if they want particular effects or captivating textures.
My great passion after drawing is travel! I love nature, animals, the sea, freediving, skating, books (especially illustrated, with particular regard to the Vintage ones!), cooking, and eating! I also collect insects, stones and minerals.
