Sernur Isik
Basel, Switzerland based illustrator and designer specialized in children’s books and all things lovely. She studied Graphic Design in Ataturk University Faculty of Fine Arts.
After that, she worked as an illustrator for a company in Istanbul that was specialized for making children’s content for TV for 2 years. Later, she worked in a Theme Park in Istanbul as the Visual Art Director and Character Designer for 2 years. In 2014 she was chosen for Pictoplasma Academy in Berlin where she received character design education for a very short time. Since 2002 she has been working with several different publishers, many of which are based abroad,and doing works for children’s books and also other works related to children. She is also designing little sculptures with her characters using clay and ceramics and taking a part in some exhibitions mostly in USA. She is traveling with a passion around the world and creating new stories, characters about places she’s been to.
