I’m Polly, a children’s book illustrator based in Serbia. I’m especially drawn to stories about small characters discovering the world, themselves, and their feelings.

One of my favourite parts of making a book is creating the worlds my characters live in. I work primarily with traditional materials.
Although I’ve been drawing since childhood, my interest in illustration and storytelling grew unexpectedly while I was studying ecology. I can spend hours watching how animals interact with the world and with one another, wondering what might be going on in their minds. Those observations often find their way into the characters and stories I create.
