With a diverse background, Hazem has showcased his work internationally and has collaborated across various markets, including Publishing, Editorial, Film, Sciences, and Academia. His clientele spans renowned entities such as Google, Harper Collins, Bloomsbury, Zee5, Walker Books, The Lancet HIV, Al Jazeera Media Network, Doha Film Institute, and Qatar Foundation. Hazem is the illustrator for the Nura and the Immortal Palace, Waterstones Children's Book of the Month for July 2022.
In his personal art and design research practice, Hazem explores speculative design, world-building, and design fiction, aiming to envision new potential futures with social and political significance through design-inspired activism. His focus lies in design that effectively addresses historical, political, and social issues, crafting creative and meaningful design narratives. A notable recent project, "Truckistan," is a non-linear visual illustrated narrative series exploring an alternative Pakistani landscape intertwined with retro sci-fi phenomena, nostalgia, and the unforeseen consequences of modern technology, ecological disasters, and political corruption in the near future.
Currently, Hazem serves as a Science Illustrator at Lahore University of Management Sciences, one of Pakistan's leading science institutes.
