Emma Randall

Emma Randall was born and raised in Northamptonshire, some of her earliest memories include scribbling away on reams of paper that her Dad would bring home from work by the box load and writing her own stories, so it isn’t a surprise that she has ended up in the world of children’s publishing. She graduated with a first class honours degree in illustration at Falmouth University in 2011.

After university she settled in a small village on the outskirts of Bristol, which is where she now lives with husband Max, young son and identical twin daughters. She works from her home studio and over the years has illustrated a number of different books for children, including self authored picture books, board books, book covers and young fiction titles. She loves to use bright colour palettes in her work, incorporating detailed patterns and cute little characters using a combination of paint, pencil crayons and digital media. She just loves being a children’s book illustrator and regularly has to pinch herself that this is what she gets to do for a living.
