Amelia Best
Amelia Best is a freelance Illustrator and Designer originally from a small village in The New Forest. She takes inspiration daily from her surroundings of nature and is usually found climbing trees, making art, or walking her dog, Murphy.
Amelia finds colour to be her main inspiration, and is always collecting things like postcards and newspaper clippings to create the textures within her work. She has always held a deep passion and exciting interest for visual design, yet during her studies at Arts University Bournemouth, she focused her interest within the children's picture books sector.
However, using her “exceptional color palette” and a range of hand-made textures, Amelia combines these digitally to create lively and quirky illustrations for many uses, from editorial design to animation. Ability to create hand rendered typography alongside playful and fun illustrations ready for high-quality print. Also trained in various book binding techniques and web-ready gifs and animation.
