He started creating stories when he was very young. He and his younger brother would create elaborate stories using their action figures that would span over weeks and weeks. Some of these games inspired the first comics he created while in high school. He then went to Sheridan College for their animation program where he learned how to bring life to a drawing. After graduating he began work as a designer for television shows, painting characters and backgrounds everyday in Photoshop. When he came home he continued to write stories and create comics, as well as work on developing a simple yet beautiful traditional illustration style.
