Lucia Serrano

I was born in 1983, in Madrid. When I was a little girl I decided that, when I become an adult, I would be a "story-teller". I wanted to tell stories with pictures, and also wanted to write them.

Then I grew up, and studied Arts, and when I graduated I moved to Barcelona. Someone had told me it was a tale city. And it was true! So now I continue living here. During this time I learned a lot of great masters of illustration. I have written and illustrated my own stories, and three of them have won three awards: "El día que olvidé cerrar el grifo" won the "Princesa de Éboli" award in 2008, convened by Anaya. "¡Qué niño más lento!" won in 2009 the XIII tournament, "A la Orilla del viento",convened by Fondo de Cultura Económica. I also win a Picture Book Junceda Award in 2012, for the book "En Blanco".

Snip, snap snout, this tale's told out! ... Sure?
